Had our Compass pool with in-floor cleaning installed 3 years ago. Could not fault the installation, after sales care and service. The Paramount in-floor cleaning system is amazing and handles leaf litter like magic. Recently had an issue with the module and the local office were so awesome to deal with. Very happy customer!

Does the approval differ between older and newer parts of East Maitland?

Which council approves a pool in East Maitland?
Maitland City Council assesses Development Applications for pools, and many newer estate lots qualify for the faster Complying Development pathway. Flood-affected land near the Hunter River and heritage-listed parts of the older town can rule complying development out, so the planning check comes first. How much backyard space does a pool really need?
Less than most people think. The Plunge 2.8 is under 3m long, and slim versions of the X-Trainer and Vogue are 2.7–3.0m wide. Add room for coping, paving and the barrier rules around the pool — we overlay real pool outlines on your site plan so you can see the fit.
When should we start planning to be swimming by summer in East Maitland?
Ideally in winter. Approvals take the longest, so enquiring between June and August usually leaves time to approve, install and finish the surrounds before the hot weather arrives.
