Had our Compass pool with in-floor cleaning installed 3 years ago. Could not fault the installation, after sales care and service. The Paramount in-floor cleaning system is amazing and handles leaf litter like magic. Recently had an issue with the module and the local office were so awesome to deal with. Very happy customer!

Pools in Fingal Bay — your questions answered
Our Fingal Bay home is a holiday house — how do we keep the pool clean while away?
In-floor self-cleaning, a cover and an automated sanitiser do most of the work between visits. Many holiday-home owners add a periodic service visit for peace of mind.
How do we deal with wind on an exposed coastal block?
Wind strips heat and water from a pool surface faster than sun alone. A cover is the single biggest help; glass fencing on the windward side doubles as a windbreak; and positioning the pool in the lee of the house makes a noticeable difference to how warm it feels.
Do I need council approval for a pool in Fingal Bay?
Port Stephens Council assesses Development Applications here; qualifying projects can use a Complying Development Certificate. Coastal and estuarine land can carry acid sulfate soil or coastal hazard mapping, and koala habitat protections apply in parts of the LGA where trees would need to come out. Is a self-cleaning system worth it?
For most families, yes — in-floor cleaning cuts vacuuming and brushing to almost nothing and improves circulation. Our technical advisor explains whether self-cleaning pools really work.
Do you really install pools as far out as Fingal Bay?
Yes. Fingal Bay is roughly 45km from our Tomago display centre, and we schedule site visits and installs out here regularly. Shells come from the Compass factory right next door to us, so there’s no long-haul freight leg on top.
Can we have a plunge pool on a small Fingal Bay holiday block?
Yes — the Plunge range suits compact holiday blocks, and freestanding Express pools can be faster to install where excavation is awkward.
