What Compass Pool Centre Newcastle customers say
Verified reviews from our Google Business profile — real customers rating us 4.6 stars.
One of the best customer experiences by far. Bryce is an absolute example of ‘going above and beyond’ when he attended to our pool. He took the time to not only make sure our pool was going to be fixed within his scope but also with chemicals, and also providing us with education on how to look after our pool better. A real honest and kind human. Thank you Bryce.
Our Pool is approx 15 years old now and its been a wonderful addition to our property. It was seamless from the start to the finish of the install all those years ago. It was quick and efficient and it was a pleasure to work with your install team .
Since then we have enjoyed many years of low maintenance and a real feeling of being in a little destination in our backyard … Club M !
Had our Compass pool with in-floor cleaning installed 3 years ago. Could not fault the installation, after sales care and service. The Paramount in-floor cleaning system is amazing and handles leaf litter like magic. Recently had an issue with the module and the local office were so awesome to deal with. Very happy customer!
We have a compass self cleaning pool which was installed in 2000, still cleaning itself like a champion! Definitely recommend! ♥️ Thanks guys. :)
Very helpful and full of knowledge
Great Service. Thanks Team :)

Pools in Muswellbrook — your questions answered
How do we keep pool water healthy through a hot Upper Hunter summer?
Hot, dry weather means high evaporation and heavy sanitiser demand. A cover cuts both dramatically, shade over part of the pool helps, and the right sanitiser setup makes the rest easy — see our water treatment comparison.
Is it worth heating a pool in Muswellbrook?
Summers are hot, but inland nights and winters are cold, so an unheated pool has a shorter comfortable season than on the coast. Solar or a heat pump can add months of swimming — our pool heating guide compares the options.
Do you really install pools as far out as Muswellbrook?
Yes. Muswellbrook is roughly 130km from our Tomago display centre, and we schedule site visits and installs out here regularly. Shells come from the Compass factory right next door to us, so there’s no long-haul freight leg on top.
What’s the best way to heat a pool here?
It depends on how you’ll use it. Solar suits extending the season cheaply, heat pumps give reliable warmth, and gas heats fastest. Our heating guide compares all three.
How do you fill a pool if we’re not on town water?
The first fill is normally delivered by a water-carting tanker, which avoids draining your tanks. After that, top-ups can come from rainwater tanks or a bore if the water quality suits — we’ll test it and set up the sanitiser accordingly.
What affects the cost of a pool in Muswellbrook?
As an indicative guide only, most of our fibreglass projects land somewhere between about $35,000 and $85,000+ installed, depending on pool size and extras such as fencing, paving, heating and self-cleaning. On rural properties the big variables are travel, water carting for the first fill, longer power and plumbing runs, and site access for the truck and crane. A free site visit gives you a fixed, itemised quote for your property.
What warranty comes with a Compass pool?
A triple warranty — structural, cosmetic and hydrostatic — backed by Compass Pools Australia. Bi-Luminite colours carry a lifetime structural warranty, Vivid colours 25 years. Warranty details.
Do I need council approval for a pool in Muswellbrook?
Muswellbrook Shire Council handles Development Applications in the shire. Some residential lots can use complying development instead, but rural zoning, on-site wastewater areas and any flood mapping on the property all shape which pathway applies. More in our certifier’s guide to the NSW approval process.
