What Compass Pool Centre Newcastle customers say
Verified reviews from our Google Business profile — real customers rating us 4.6 stars.
One of the best customer experiences by far. Bryce is an absolute example of ‘going above and beyond’ when he attended to our pool. He took the time to not only make sure our pool was going to be fixed within his scope but also with chemicals, and also providing us with education on how to look after our pool better. A real honest and kind human. Thank you Bryce.
Our Pool is approx 15 years old now and its been a wonderful addition to our property. It was seamless from the start to the finish of the install all those years ago. It was quick and efficient and it was a pleasure to work with your install team .
Since then we have enjoyed many years of low maintenance and a real feeling of being in a little destination in our backyard … Club M !
Had our Compass pool with in-floor cleaning installed 3 years ago. Could not fault the installation, after sales care and service. The Paramount in-floor cleaning system is amazing and handles leaf litter like magic. Recently had an issue with the module and the local office were so awesome to deal with. Very happy customer!
We have a compass self cleaning pool which was installed in 2000, still cleaning itself like a champion! Definitely recommend! ♥️ Thanks guys. :)
Very helpful and full of knowledge
Great Service. Thanks Team :)
Pools in Scone — your questions answered
Scone winters are cold — can we still use the pool?
Swimming in mid-winter needs serious heating; heat pumps lose efficiency in very cold air, so gas or a combination is common. Many owners choose a Combo pools so the spa can stay warm year-round.
Is a self-cleaning system worth it?
For most families, yes — in-floor cleaning cuts vacuuming and brushing to almost nothing and improves circulation. Our technical advisor explains whether self-cleaning pools really work.
Where should a pool go on a Scone acreage property?
Near the house for supervision, with a compliant barrier that also keeps animals out, and away from dusty tracks and big trees. Equipment should be sheltered from dust as well.
Which council approves a pool in Scone?
Pools in the Scone area fall under Upper Hunter Shire Council. Depending on zoning and site constraints the approval is either a Development Application or a Complying Development Certificate — acreage blocks in particular need setbacks and wastewater areas checked first. More in our certifier’s guide to the NSW approval process.
How do you fill a pool if we’re not on town water?
The first fill is normally delivered by a water-carting tanker, which avoids draining your tanks. After that, top-ups can come from rainwater tanks or a bore if the water quality suits — we’ll test it and set up the sanitiser accordingly.
Does being 130km from Newcastle add to the cost?
Travel and crane time are part of every quote, and we itemise them so nothing is hidden. Because the shell is made next door to our Tomago base, the extra for outlying areas is usually smaller than people expect.
