Had our Compass pool with in-floor cleaning installed 3 years ago. Could not fault the installation, after sales care and service. The Paramount in-floor cleaning system is amazing and handles leaf litter like magic. Recently had an issue with the module and the local office were so awesome to deal with. Very happy customer!

Pools in The Junction — your questions answered
Can we add a pool in The Junction without losing the whole backyard?
Yes, if the shape is right. Slim or compact pools set along one boundary leave room for lawn or a deck. The barrier’s non-climbable zone affects how close garden beds and furniture can be, so we plan the whole yard, not just the pool.
What’s the best way to heat a pool here?
It depends on how you’ll use it. Solar suits extending the season cheaply, heat pumps give reliable warmth, and gas heats fastest. Our heating guide compares all three.
Our The Junction backyard has an easement or sewer line — can we still have a pool?
Often you can, but pools generally need to stay clear of sewer mains and easements, or have the water authority approve building nearby. We locate these on your site plan before design so the pool position works first time rather than after a redesign.
Which council approves a pool in The Junction?
Pools here are approved either through a Development Application with City of Newcastle, or — where the block and design meet the state’s complying development standards — a Complying Development Certificate from a registered certifier. Older parts of Newcastle can bring heritage controls, mine subsidence checks or tight setbacks into play, which may push a project towards a DA. We check the controls for your address before quoting. Will pool equipment bother close neighbours?
It shouldn’t if it’s planned. NSW noise rules restrict pool pumps that can be heard inside a neighbour’s home at night, so we position equipment thoughtfully and recommend quiet variable-speed pumps on tight blocks.
